bottom line is this: a "terrorist driver" could cross the center line on the highway and kill you. that is the risk we all take when we walk out the front door every day. and there aren't enough laws or cops to prevent such a thing from happening.
same for flying. besides worrying about the terrorists, how about pilots who spend too much time talking to each other on final approach? like the Continental flight that went down in New York? weren't they supposed to be doing their job and protecting their passengers? the captain of the ship is always responsible for it's safe journey, right?
life is a big risk and the nanny state can't protect us from every possible risk. they'd like for us to think they can, bottom line is they can't. we have to be responsible for ourselves and our own safety. and, that, dear friends is one of the main reasons we are in the boat we are in. people want the government to solve ALL of life's problems.
