Jewelry forums

Hi all,
Haven't been around the forum for a while, but I need some suggestions and thought you all would probably be able to help me more than the Ford truck forums I now frequent.

I am looking for a good forum on antique or estate jewelry. I have an engagement ring and my fiance and I are interested in knowing approximately how old it is and possibly where it was made. If anyone knows of a good forum, please pass it along. I have searched for a while and none of them seem to be very active, and don't seem to have very many truly knowledgeable people on them.

PM me a larger pic of that ring, my wife is an expert in antique jewelry. She will be glad to help. Don't sell it or trade it until she sees it.

Looks like a Deco setting in white gold with a 1/2c stone plus 6 mine cut diamonds. Of course I don't have my moe gauge handy but that's what I say based solely upon the pics......$450-$800 if I'm right about the stone size.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm really interested in when it was made, possibly where. It isn't leaving her finger for a really long time.

It is actually platinum, you all are right that its a .5 carat center with 6 .12c side stones.

just a guess but the center stone is a rose-cut which in today's market is very desireable(sp). actually go on E-bay they have of similar styles.
