Talking A sex robot?

Just what the world has been waiting for...

A company called TrueCompanion.com has developed a sex robot. Her name is "Roxxxy"

Now I wonder...
Does it run on Windows or Mac? Do you have to worry about viruses?
How do you reboot if you get the "blue screen of death"?
Can I also get it to cook or maybe paint my house?

It just shows that American technology and manufacturing is not dead after all.

Most purchasers could care even less what operating system it uses. It might not be a bad ideal to be able to turn the audio off or down though come to think of it.

It may even hurt sales if they get this robot too lifelike. Hopefully it does not develop headaches.

I can just imagine a purchaser describing a fault to the vendor. I have to also wonder how the warranty is defined.

Hmm. Maybe I'll buy one and put it in our rental section. It's about the only way I will be comforatable buying new mercedes.

They apparently don't offer any pictures or information at all about their product. Here's what the site says:

TrueCompanion.com is comprised of a collection of very skilled artists and engineers that have designed the world’s first sex robot. Our caring staff deliver to you the specific sex robot which best meets your specific requirements. Your TrueCompanion.com robot will deliver the ultimate in robot sex. She will also be able to talk, listen, carry on a conversation, feel your touch and be your true friend. She can also have an orgasm when you touch her!

A little history:
In 1993, Douglas Hines designed “Trudy”, our first sex robot. Trudy was not as “user friendly” as our current model. Douglas worked for Bell Labs, a Research and Development organization. It was during this time that he learned the latest artificial intelligence systems which assisted him in the future.

The sex doll industry was effective at creating very expensive and somewhat realistic dolls - but many people were telling us it was like their dolls were “catatonic”, like they were injured and unable to speak and interact. They wanted to have their dolls become interactive and be their friends. We solved this problem and now our customers can have sex robots that in one person’s opinion “are now brought to life”!

“Designing a robot sex doll involves multiple disciplines”, says Hines. “We have many electrical engineers, computer science experts, artists, beauty and makeup professionals as well as robotic engineers all working together to provide you with your most life like sex robot which can interact as well as ‘play’ with you”. We look forward to making your dreams of your TrueCompanion come true.

The Story Behind “Roxxxy TrueCompanion”:
The initial concept for the current sex robot began with a conversation several years ago. A friend and Douglas Hines were remembering a dear friend who passed away. Douglas thought that it was sad to not be able to ever talk to him again. He said “wouldn't it be great if I could create a robot with artificial intelligence and have it hold someone's personality and preferences - this way, we could talk to the robotic version of that person and ask it questions whenever we wanted"? We thought it was a great idea though we both agreed that it would be a very big undertaking.

On 9/11/2001, that good friend also passed away in Tower 1 at the World Trade Center. And now we cannot talk to that person... so, this made Douglas think seriously about how to implement a robotic representation of a person and have it reflect that person’s personality.

After test marketing, the concept changed in order to capitalize on the enormous adult entertainment industry.

True Companion has designed such a sex robot.

Just a tad strange, no?

All of the benefits? How about companionship and the simple joy of intelligent conversation?
