Some FL football fans might not disagree with the comparison.

Both "pro-choice" and "pro-life" are examples of terms labeled as political framing: they are terms which purposely try to define their philosophies in the best possible light, while by definition attempting to describe their opposition in the worst possible light. "Pro-choice" implies that the alternative viewpoint is "anti-choice", while "pro-life" implies the alternative viewpoint is "pro-death" or "anti-life"[41]. Similarly each side's use of the term "rights" ("reproductive rights", "right to life of the unborn") implies a validity in their stance, given that the presumption in language is that rights are inherently a good thing and so implies an invalidity in the viewpoint of their opponents.
The Associated Press encourages journalists to use the terms "abortion rights" and "anti-abortion".[4

by the way, i am merely freely expressing the facts of the matter. surely no real american would object to that?

No objection here. You have spoken well, and freely.

THAT is one of the problems with "testimonies". Instead of telling simply what God has done, some people put the spotlight on What God did for ME.

And now, the story takes the inevitable icky turn . . .

CA Attorney Calling Tebow's Mom A Fibber

The pro-choice heroine and lawyer is busy trying to paint Pam Tebow a liar, saying because the Philippines outlaws abortion, she finds it hard to believe that doctors would recommend the procedure.

Sometimes its almost like a private conversation, here in OD, and other times its more like everyone talking at once. I took your comment personally, when you evidently meant it as part of the genertal discussion.

No offense to football fans; but this is a sideshow, not a serious issue. The tv network can do whatever it wants, it doesn't matter.

One early lesson I learned in OD . . . it's not all about me.

Sounds more like a life-lesson.

Back on topic, the ad that had everyone's pantiees tied in knots was sooo cryptically tepid and bland that if you didn't know it was coming, you would have been left wondering what the heck was that all about.:confused: Guess that goes to show you not to criticize a book, or commercial, before you are familiar with it's content.;)

All NOW could say after it was that Tebow was promoting violence because he "tackled" his mother in the commercial. Good grief. don't these folks have anything better to do??

This is anti-abortion???

Was that scene meant to imply that the one guy was jealous and upset at the other for looking at the girly pic on the e-message ?
Some commercials leave you wondering: Is that the worst commercial ever. Or Don't I get it? ;):o

The chicken commercials weren't too bad. (Denny's). My favorite was the one with all the chickens in the Oval Office.;)

The one I actually liked the best was the Bud Lite commercial where the meteor is going to hit the earth, so all the scientists break out the beer.

It was hadr to single out my worst, but I guess the worst was the one that went on and on asking What if this .....- What if that..... what if..this....on and on. Hands down, the worst imo.I don't even remember who ran the ad.
