Modem frustration
 

I am plugged in at my daughters house because my modem suddenly decided to stop working and a new one won't get here until tuesday.:mad:

DSL modem? Find a phone truck, and ask him for one - he might have a "spare".

It's a DSL unit but if it's not called a modem then what do you call it?

It usually called a DSL modem. If you just say modem, people think about dial-up modems.

Or cable.
Dial up modems are usually built in to any computer.

Not any more, the last one I bought had eliminated the modem.

I use my dial up modem as a fax :cool:

That's one of the most unused features in windows XP.

The last computer I owned with a modem was my old G4 powerbook (2004 or 2005?). My 2 year old MacBook Pro has no modem.

A floppy is a guy who needs Cialis but for whatever reason, does not take it :D:D

If it is a pair of floppies, they refer to pancake boobs as can be seen in the joke below.

There was an elderly couple that were married right out of high school and had been together happily for all that time. One day, the old man died.
