I have no issue with people who smoke, it provides those who don't many advantages....more Social Security funds for us, and potentially more jobs as the smokers kick the bucket early.

Interesting study. I have to wonder, since I have not smoked in a few years after ten years of smoking, what my IQ score is? I took a few different online tests because my mother was bragging about being in the 140s, my scores were all high 150s to low 170s, at the height of my smoking, drinking single boilermaker career.

Even if you draw conclusions from that skewed study, the originator doesn't think that it changes your IQ.

IMO, this study is kinda skewed when they picked Israeli soldiers only. I think it is done to scare people into not smoking so they look smarter. Kinda of the reverse of the "Marlboro Man" who smokes and looks manly or the smoking girl who looks sexy.

Just to add a bit of levity here, I guess my SDL is less intelligent than other SDL's. as every time I romp on the pedal, there's a huge cloud of black smoke coming out the tailpipe.
OTOH, it sure pulls off the line faster than most honda civics with their windows rolled down....

Sounds logical to me. Of course it does not apply to everyone, but I would guess the majority would fall correctly into the category.

Oh LOL please online tests are beyond inaccurate. Every moron gets 120+ easily. A real test performed in person by a trained person is accurate, not the junk online. I have been professionally tested by a grad student and my "online" score was some 30+ points higher. It's a complete joke LMAO.

I have 2 comments;

1/ You all need to go read "How to lie with statistics" its a good read & is reported to be the most popular stats text book ever.

2/ As a young guy 35 years ago, if you were out at a party looking for a easy f*#^*, you always went for a girl that was a smoker, the rationale was that if she had that little respect for her body to smoke, she wouldnt be too concerned who jumped her!! It always worked!!

I bet I get a few comments out of that!!!
