of course, the average moron shopper thinks, "hey, I'm just collecting pricing for the wife back home, this policy doesn't apply to me, RIGHT????" think again, guiltapotomus, they can stretch the policy to fit your particular situation.

AND, they have cameras EVERYWHERE that feed supercomputers back
in Bentonville. they have more than DOUBLE the storage capabilities of the entire INTERNET. that's a lotta storage and they have programmed these computers to look for "suspicious" behavior. "suspicious" behavior that might be a "threat" to their empire. big fish eat little fish, always have always will.

if your car is broken into and items stolen while on their property you can pretty well count on not having access to their video feeds. I have personal knowledge on this one.

get used to being a little fish.

Nice policy, but a policy is not LAW, I cant imagine how they could have you arrested. What would the charge be? The store is a public place.

What does failing a drug test by smoking dope have to do with any of that??

personally, I think they are ethically challenged. at the very least.

The store is not a public place, it's private property. The public has blanket permission to go onto this property for the sole purpose of spending money. If you go there for another reason, then you're trespassing and that is illegal.

Calm down honkies. Time for Jive to share his nightly wisdom.

Medicinal pot has it's place in society just like alcohol and tobacco have their place as controlled substances. Regardless of what you believe, in it's various pure forms Marijuana in no way deserves it's status as a schedule 1 narcotic (No currently accepted medical uses or treatment, not worthy of research) in any way whatsoever. Within our lifetimes we're going to see Marijuana become legalized, it's just going to take a while and be a pain in the ass. Presently there are about 17 states with Medicinal Marijuana laws in the books on some way, but it is still flat out illegal to own, grow, possess, or smoke under federal law.

What does this mean? Well Obama recently made a statement that he's going to relax the DEA's recent "attacks" on Medicinal users who are abiding by their state or county laws. Unfortunately, Marijuana is only grown in one location in the country legally under federal law. To those of you (us ) who breathe deeply and enjoy the same aroma found at Grateful Dead concerts (we miss you Jerry) that figure should be suprising. Marijuana comes in many different forms. Growing in only one location with one strain is akin to walking into food city, grabbing one solo 12oz beer off the rack and claiming that thats how every kind of beer anywhere in the world at any time under any conditions will taste. Obviously rubbish.

So, getting back to the point here. Wal-Mart has really gotten away from what Sam set it up as. It's trying very hard to move upmarket, which is a necessity for any business (you're either growing or you're dying) but in doing so it has raised lots of controversy over the source of it's labor. I like what Wal-Mart used to be in the Early Ninties. But then again K-Mart was actual competition... And MontGomery Wards used to exist... and Pontiac, and Oldsmobile, and I think Alfa Romeo still sold cars here...

The world has changed dramatically and our National Psyche and Legislation must evolve with it. Just like businesses, Nations are either Growing or Dying.

bingo, once you step foot into their house, they determine what is socially acceptable behavior. that behavior means dropping dimes into the cash till. anything else, and you "might" be deemed a social misfit worthy of arrest.

BTW, anyone have a hard copy of the actual policy they post in customer service? I know my eyes were opened a wee bit when I read it. apparently, they are not afraid to take whatever actions they deem necessary to protect their empire.

a brief look back in time will reveal that when Dupont first invented
nylon rope, they needed an edge in the marketplace. at the time, Hemp rope was considered a big time threat to their new product. they were behind the "Reefer Madness" type films that were shown to the public. remember "Reefer Madness"? if you smoke a joint you will pick up a butcher knife and kill your mother? total BS but the propaganda machine worked and Dupont was successfull in getting the government to outlaw marijuana. the new nylon
rope now had an equal chance at being sold.

conspiracy? of course not....

I hope you aren't buying Mobile 1, because they have downgraded it from
Class IV stocks to Class III. same price, less quality. the bean counters
are winning.

My old Ford does not require Mobile 1 or Mobil1.

Valvoline or equivalent will be sufficient.

I might also buy some grapes and some lettuce while I am there......

LOL, Thanks, but I stocked up on Delvac 15w40 when O'Rileys was having that 2 for 1 sale a while back. I think I have a lifetime supply of diesel engine oil.
