Yep! We'll be cranking some with corned beef & cabbage and Guinness, followed by some Jameson's and coffee, this evening. Sadly that craziness will be limited to the house with the kids thanks to the Mrs.' recent ankle surgery.

For better or worse, they've gained a lot of popularity in these parts thanks to the Red Sox and Patriots (and The Departed), with both the music and live performances at games and team events. I can't say that I mind too much since that's what's gotten my kids interested in them.

Talking The movie "Departed" set in Boston, got me into Dropkick.

Their vid in "Shipping Up to Boston" depicts them as bad boyz, running from the 5 - 0.

As Irish as it gets, in East Boston.

Ah yes, stuck here in New England, bookended by screaming drunken "Irishmen" who are 3rd or 4th generation descendants of Irish immigrants, never been to the Emerald Isle, and simply sport an Irish surname. Come to think of it, that pretty much sums up the Italians here too..... Bloody fools are out drinking until their skulls implode simply because its a day to drink until their skulls implode. I like a good buzz like the next guy but there really isn't anything as pointless at St. Patricks Day in the US.
