You check the valve cover gaskets and oil pan drain plugs yet?

I did the valves before i left, new gasket on the valve cover, and it seems to be dry. most of the engine seems to be dry, I'm afraid its the rear main seal.

I talked to Garrett today, he is going to come give me a second opinion before i yank the engine out

I am glad my old Lorinser knockoffs found such a good home. You made them look as perfect as they were when I bought the car at the Mercedes Benz dealer near Disneyland, 14-15 years ago.

Thanks Jim! I really did love driving the car around down there... all the freeways... almost like the car was meant to be down there. just after I took the pic of the car in front of my friends apartment in Monrovia I passed a mail man. I had a post card in the car so i asked him to wait a second while i ran to the car. he fallowed me over to the car, and complemented me on my car. he had a huge grin on his face when i told him the car was quickly approaching 400k
