Shucks, on your face? Don't worry about it. Surely you aren't vain enough to think "Darling wife" married you for your LOOKS?

It's not bad having them removed. Just get used to wearing large brimmed hats, long sleeves and wearing extremely high sunblock. That is unless you LIKE going back every year to have more removed.

Draw an oval- 31 mm x 36 mm. That's what they removed from my forehead, over left eye, 3 months ago. Now have a scar 45 mm long and a raised eyebrow, ala' The Rock. I took forever to get the blasted thing fixed. My fault they had to take so much. They had to cut very deep so went with the scar vs graft. I'm happy with the result. Now I have to put on the 20 sunblock as part of morning routine and doc really wants me to wear bandana over forehead all summer. Wife does not like that look on me. Bought a couple of hats (I only wore ball caps to work on cars, never any other hat ever), and getting used to wearing them. Working on my "Indiana Jones" look with big gray hat.
Get the painkiller script filled RIGHT AWAY and be prepared to take first one within half hour after leaving from the reconstructive surgery. Sit in your recliner with icepack covering wound and surrounding area for a day or so. Use the ice more than doc says. It makes a huge difference in pain, swelling, and healing.
I had a great surgeon. Someday we can get together and compare scars. I'm gonna be 55 and wife loves me regardless of my face (ugly before, still ugly), Good thing she needs glasses!

Got clear margins after the first chop. Made the doc show me the crater - roughly 3/4" in diameter, and looked really deep. Doc said there really wasn't anything left between daylight and skull more than a couple millimeters worth of tissue.

Felt like the doc pulled enough forehead skin together that I think me ears will be able applaud once the numbness wears off. ~ 2.5" long straight line stitched together. Couple days of clean and grease, couple weeks for the stitches dissolve.

Start the process all over again next Wednesday for the spot on my temple.

That's good news on the clear margins first time. Yeah, seems like they stretch the skin all the way from top of your head. I did the whole thing with just local so I could feel them moving face and scalp around. Kinda interesting really. I would have watched if I could. Hope you had as good a surgeon as I did. Results were way better than I expected. Amazing how much the skins relaxes after a month or so. Face is almost back to normal (still ugly). Good luck next week.
