Ideas on Stress Releif

What do you guys / girls do to get the stress level out of the red zone ??
To Burn off some steam.

Any hobbies that bring you right to the edge of the adrenalin scale ?

do it long enough so that you forget. (at least temporarily)

there are some excellent books on the employment of athleticism for stress relief. (primarily running)

Curse occasionally.

Autocross as often as possible.

As offensive as that is, it's even worse than you think!

Sounds like you need some "air time".

Here’s what you do.
Head up to Boerne Stage Field. (The airport at Boerne.)

Get with a guy named Bob Bruce. He runs the field. Last big hangar on the right before the taxi/road turns right. It’s straight across the far end of the runway from his awesome local stone house.

Tell him “Tow Bat” sent you and that you want a ride in their Grob Twin Astir (It’s a glider).

If 30 or 40 minutes in that thing doesn’t take your stress away. Nothing will.

Now that’s getting offensive.

Always pushing to the edge with it. Aren’t you?

Fishing or just lounging on the boat, beer in hand, listening to the world go by (eyes closed of course).

If it's been a particularly rough week I'll take a slow, early morning Jeep ride through the trails in the meadows/farm land along the CT River. I'll stop and fire up a stogie and listen to the waves and the critters.

I don't need to add to my stress with any of that adrenaline pumping stuff. For me it's all about unwinding.

Running! Clears the head, relieves stress and keeps you fit. Works for me. If it doesn't a single malt in the evening works wonders as well.

Lift like crazy at the gym. I used to have regular panic attacks until I started lifting again. In the last 6 months I've lost 7% body fat and gained 20.5 lbs of muscle...not a bad side effect of relieving stress.
