They work very well as a replacement for the obsolete tin-foil hat...

Cover the face carefully with non-crinkled aluminum foil, point it at the sun and boil a cup of water in the focal point. You can put a USB WiFi dongle at the focal point and pick up all kinds of signal. Or you can give it away on freecycle.

If you have a pick-up you could mount in it the bed with big words on it that say "Maintain 500 foot Radius". That might stop tail-gaters.

That has merit. It'd be cool if it would make a sort of loud humming while it spins (slowly) and then a different pitch hum when it aims up or down.
