SAW MY FIRST

Ariel Atom today on Rt 78 in Pa!

Sorry no pix, but he was puttering along the right lane at 55mph!

Also saw my first McClaren SLR the other day! All I can say is WOW! He was definitely NOT going 55!

musta been cool to see that! He was probably only going 55 cause its easier to dodge bugs at that speed. Any higher and your mouth cant stay closed and the bugs get sucked in! I have never seen an SLR before or an ariel atom for that matter. I have seen a Ford GT and a 2000 cobra R, but those are childs play

Saw some Basket Ball star (or so I was told) bring his SLR into the MB dealer in Dallas one day while I was there. Sounded really nice.

I was at the Motorsport Ranch south of Fort Worth at a MB club meet and there was aguy racing his Ford GT. He was on the track with some Vetts, Lambos, a Viper or two, some 911's and some other cars. Quite a ear full. The Lambo Gallardo sounded the best wide open IIRC.

If I can figure out how to change the .MOD files from my friends Cam-corder to Mpegs I will post the Vids.

The guy driving the Atom had a full helmet just like The Stig's I was looking for a chase car with Clarkson or Capt. Slow in it

The SLR was on Rt 287 in NJ and was in a line with a Ferrari and a Bugatti! I think it might have been a magazine drive and photo shoot thing...

Do they still have helmet laws in PA, I hated that when I lived there for a little while in the 80s?

No helmet laws in Pa - The Harley crew in York put an end to them...

Did he have the white suit on as well If they weren't in England presenting the current season I would have thought the same thing (Last nights episodes was pretty good. with the Reliant segment being particularly hilarious.

Couldn't see the whole suit... but what I saw WAS white
The car did have T.Kennedy written Fighter pilot style on the front suspension.

One thing I have to say,I would never want to be in that thing driving on the highway. All you need is an inattentive 18 wheeler not seeing you...

I saw one of those new Porsche 4 doors yesterday on the road.

Looked nice but I don't get the idea of a 2.5 ton "sports car"....four doors or not..

I saw one of those the other day... YUCK!

I am lucky since I live near a Ferrari/Maserati dealer, BMW, VW, and MB HQ and close enough to NYC to see some cool cars.

I think I have seen just about everything cruise through at one point or another. 360/430's are very commen, Vipers, Z06/ZR1's, custom bikes from West Coast and Orange County etc.

My favorite is the yellow Carrera GT that I see every so often.

The most interesting was what I beleive was an old Ferrari 330GT that showed up down the beach one day.

A few weeks ago, a bunch of bankers got busted up in New Hampshire or Vermont after renting a group of supercars in NYC and opening them up on a Friday drive in the woods. The local "smokies" put a stop to the mini-Gumball/Cannonball run.

It's pretty low so if your fast enough it might actually be able to maneuver under some of them.....a more prudent strategy however that I use even with my SDL is to simply not drive next to them. Stay way behind or be way in front of them.

Yeah CT is weird like that. All you have to do is have a Sunday with good weather and know where to sit and you'll see every exotic out there within a few hours. I bet Southern CA has us beat though
