Other than keeping your head down and your mouth shut and finding things to do in other rooms or preferably outside, there is nothing to be done. You are incapable of saying the right thing and are better off not trying. I do keep my own calendar, so I usually have advanced warning and know when to start watching my mouth but once in a while when I least expect it it'll sneak up on me. Not fun. C'mon menopause!!

I find it's best to avoid them altogether except for when there is a need for some...err...servicing.

While you are waiting for things to cool down, you may get a laugh from this;

Can I get you anything while I'm out?

These work for me.

Usually it ends up being: Ma'am! The husband believes any answer he gives will be wrong and the Wife will only beat him harder if he reverses himself, Ma'am!

We have the technology today to put it on our phone calendar. Nothing says you have to mark it in any way. You can have a reminder to yourself "Check Engine Fluids" for instance.

I also keep a calendar for my bride...1st week of the month is a nightmare. Couple that with a 21 year old and a 17 year old, each of whom is trying to be *****ier than the other, and life gets interesting for me. Of course, none of them are in synch with the others, so there can be 3 weeks out 4 where there's a raving lunatic loose in the house.

Explains why most of us get lost in our love of, and time spent with our MBs.....

well, good luck with that pms solution, uh, sisyphus. you'll solve it in not time.

actually, some women - i've only heard, being a 47 year old man saving himself for mrs. right :D - become a bit more, er, amorous during that period.(no pun intended)

Supposedly the periods will get in synch when females occupy a house.

I had heard that they get in synch too, but one goes away to college, one goes to her mother's a lot of the time, so they don't all live here full time, so they have never gotten in synch.

As far as women getting amorous at that time, I neither drink from the red river, nor swim in it, so I'm in no position to comment.

OK. That explains it.

Why not swim in it? You can't die from it. All it needs is a towel.

hahahahhahaa! What a thread.

I think it's different for each female...so guess you gotta be careful.

I won't tell you to DO these things...but I can tell you what happens when its time for me to go through my scary phase of the month.

First off, I don't remember some of the things I said/did. Or if I do remember them, they didn't seem as bad as my boyfriend described it to me. I suppose avoiding her would work a bit...but when its time, almost everything everyone does annoys me. If they make too much noise, or if they say something that can be taken the wrong way...and sometimes even if someone touches me...even lightly, it will annoy the crap out of me. Although...that might be because its summer, and its really hot and I don't like the heat...so any extra body heat might just be too annoying for me.

Obviously if you know there is something she doesn't like don't do it! And you know how girls take things too seriously sometimes? Twist things...?? For example, a compliment such as "Have you lost some weight recently? You look good!" can be translated into "you used to look ugly and were(and possibly still are) fat" SOOOOOOOO careful.

Do as she says. Say she is right. Keep her happy. So...since its summer, if its hot, and you don't have A/C bring out a fan or something. Hahaha. I dunno. Usually my boyfriend knows when I start getting angry that I either need to be cooled off or I'm hungry...hahaha. I sound like such a baby. *shrug*

That's all I can tell you for now. I'm sorry that its scary...and I know you think we can control it...and to a certain extent we can...but as I said...after a certain time when I was angry, I didn't realize how scary I was until I saw the reactions of whoever was around. I had no idea I could turn into the hulk!
