267.81 mph!

I've never been a fan of the Veyron, but for the 16.4 Super Sport I have to make an exception. What a beauty and the speed: limited at 257.9 mph to protect the tires! Would be nice to be so rich you can afford a $70,000 service.

It is an ugly SOB, and let's be realistic here...where could you ever dream of using even 1/2 of that capability without killing somebody? It's silly and irrelevant to normal people, it's something for the idle rich to show off with.

Thank God they limit the top speed to 257.9 mph! I'd be tempted to go really crazy otherwise. I'm guessing that any engine that puts out 1,000 hp is going to be temperamental, in need of regular tuning, etc. I'd be much happier with the same body and some variant of Audi's Le Mans diesel engine, perhaps a mere 300 hp.

Perhaps a V-8 version of Audi's V12. With the same piston and crank dimensions would yield 3.67 liters. Plenty enough.

**EDIT** Audi already had such variants. DOH!!!

Good to see the germans knocked off that SSC thing. Its ugly, but so cool. I dream of being so wealthy I'll have a friend who has one that I can drive one afternoon because I'll never be buying one lol.
