This probably means war...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38375802/ns/world_news-asiapacific/

The North is getting kind of crazy, hope we can avoid this one I rather just throw South Korea to the dogs than spend a winter freezing to death on the lines.

They seem to be getting kind of unstable, I wouldn't be surprised if they started something.

If North Korea launched a nuke, do you think that jets in Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, and in California could be scrambled fast enough to shot it out of the sky?

I was under the impression that if there was if the defcon level went up jets were scambled as a precaution. Is this not true?

I dunno 'bout that, but I do know that some aircraft have been moved to forward positions, like Guam and Okinawa.

This sounds like NK's usual BS. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Don't see them wasting one of their limited number of nukes (if they actually have a working one), on a carrier task force - the escorts were probably specially loaded with SM3 missles for this trip, which are capable of intercepting an incoming warhead, or one launched at points further east - most likely the main reason they were sent to the area, besides saber rattling - an alerted carrier group with it's defenses up is a tough nut to crack when it comes to attacking it.

Also, NK has thousands of artillery pieces dug in and hardened on their side of the DMZ, well within range of Seoul. Again, why waste one of your prime bargaining chips, when they could easily turn Seoul into rubble inside of an hour by conventional means.

They're just sticking a pin in Barry's backside to see how far he'll jump, and seeing how far they can mindfawk with him before he really gets pissed. They're like a bratty kid that's learned all he has to do to get mommy and daddy to give him another toy, is pitch a hissy fit and be a royal PITA until said parents run out of patience and in exasperation give the little brat what he wants just to shut his trap for a few minutes peace.

North Korea to stage massive dance spectacle

Ng Han Guan / AP FILE - In this Oct. 11, 2005 file photo, North Koreans perform with scarves showing the colors of the North Korean flag near an image of the flag formed by tens of thousands of children holding up colored cards during the annual massive propaganda spectacle known as a "mass game" held in Pyongyang, North Korea. North Korea said Thursday, July 22, 2010 it will stage massive propaganda spectacles next month amid lingering tensions over the deadly sinking of a South Korean warship blamed on Pyongyang. Cruise missiles yes but I don't think NK has any. ICBMs cannot be intercepted by fighter planes.

Overall it does sound like a bit of saber rattling (I guess Kim Jung Ill is pissed that he hasn't been on CNN much since Obama took over ) Then again he it quite crazy and it only takes one spark to set a powder keg off.

Last I heard, they could barely get an ICBM of the ground. I'm sure there are plenty of spy satellites watching their nuke and missile facilities.
