Still should own one ;) Edit: This may be a stupid question , but CLK Man when you hook up the video camera to your computer did you put it into "VTR Mode"? The mode where you playback video? Try putting the camera into playback mode and hook it up to the computer. Go into iMovie and go to "Capture" or import. It's been a while since I've used iMovie for anything. |

Well as is the case with all kinds of files if you can see the file but the application doesn't know what to do with it then your file is probably corrupt.

The camera said that I needed imovie 8 and I have a Mac G4 will that work? :D
|
That's it. I need a canon camcorder that works on my mac G4 with 10.5.8 any suggestions? PLEASE. :)

Sounds like a great opportunity to switch to Windows 7, I bet your current camcorder would work just fine with it! |
Wouldn't a file converter that goes from AVCHD (Canon's format) to one that the Leopard OS programs recognize, ilke Quicktime or AVI?
Besides, if he went with an Intel mac . . . he could run both Snow Leopard and "WinDoze" 7 Home, Premium, Ultimate, Ultra Ultimate, Penultimate Ultimate . . . |
But I love my old mac G4 and my current Canon powershot 580 will upload limited vids.
