I have the same problem with my Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS. It will off-load pics, but not the video. I have an external card reader that handles the videos separately. No need for cash. :D ;) Besides, you end up wearing down the camera's battery when you should be using it to record fun things like beer being bought and consumed. Eh? |
I don:t have a card reader, I have tried to use the mini dvd and it won:t work either.:confused::confused:

Canon cameras come with a USB2 cable; iMovie or Final Cut needs Firewire 400 or 800. I believe Canon cameras come with a 4pin firewire 400 port, so all you have to do is get the right cable.

Are you using iPhoto to import, or are you using image capture? Try opening image capture and importing if you haven't tried that.

get a pc... problem solved....

If iMovie and such require a firewire device, that is pretty dumb, since there are barely any cameras out there anymore that use it.... |

First off, if you would have followed the advice someone gave you earlier, you wouldn't have this problem.
You've suffered enough, so I'll solve your problem. You have to finalize the disc before you can import it to imovie. The finalize option can be found on the main menu of the camcorder. You're welcome. |
