Two options: you like me, or you don't. Either way an explanation of why you view my posts repeating what was said as "bashing" is still the next step.

Next thing he'll be telling you to; "bring it on." Really - so immature/childish behavior...

Hey Joe,
There were Australians killed in 911 as well.We also lost a similar proportion in Bali. The alignment between Australia & the USA is as strong as ever. My post was to show that if one tried to do something against the "mosque" they would be the first to cry foul.
I have seen here in Australia what happens when there is an enclave formed; special arrangements for swimming at local pools, mistreatment of young Australian girls, Involvement in people smuggling etc.
I have seen how much they dont like it when forced to mix with the locals. Its the best deterrent there is.
I say ban the burka !!

Thought you might like to know 40, that Americans dont really care too much for Aussie's. Say they are nothing more a former penal colonie, that has people in it that are lineage decendants of the dregs that England cast out. So, while you think these are your freinds...over their beers, they sneer behind your back.
You would find that Singaporeans will lend you an ear tho.

I would dispute this. SOME Americans are, no doubt, as indicated, but I bet the great majority do not have views anywhere near as cynical as represented here.

X2. Australians are the Aborigine first but the Irish that made the trip were modern Aussie's founders. "The dregs" also were also the founders of the USA. Australia as a country is about as close as Canada as far as Americans views of country/country relations IMHO.

As for me..I would defineately buy the man a beer..just to hear his jokes.
Chilcutt~

You would benefit from learning to use a spell checker, but the gist of the text itself is another matter. You should call Rich C and get together- you and he could laugh at each others jokes all day in the corner of a room disturbed only when the RN brought your "tea".

Chilcutt,
I am surprised (unpleasantly) at your comments.
To set the record straight, the US and Australia specifically, not just the commonwealth, have shared bonds of friendship that have been active since after WWI, when we first basically discovered them, and understood how they are different as a people from the Brits and the Canadians.

Australians have a very positive image among Americans, especially former Navy servicemen and women, which accounts for the large number of US+Australian households found in various corners of the world.

Additionally, Australia is part of the ANZUS treaty, obviously, and special government cooperation by the US with Australia is significantly greater than with many other countries.

Plus we all love Crocodile Dundee

or, behind door #3...... I don't know you!!! How can anyone make an informed decision about whether or not they like a person before they ever meet them?? Sure, we disagree and trade barbs back and forth here in OD, but comments made on an internet forum are hardly a measure of the person.... I hope....

As for explaining why I feel that you are Islam bashing, maybe it's due to your view that all terrorists are Muslim, that all Muslims are but one little push from becoming terrorists, that the Qu'ran is nothing but a book of violence, that Muslims in our country should be treated as lesser citizens, have their freedoms guaranteed under COTUS curtailed because of their religion.... I could go on, but it would be a worthless endeavor, as you have so successfully ignored all logic and explanation which has been presented to you, lo these last 60 pages of thread.

Chilcutt,
You best remember that Singapore would be Japanese if it wasnt for the US forces in WW11.
