CFC is still painful....

I had Stacey David's "Gearz" show on in the background just now while I work and they are doing a special on whether or not cash for clunkers is worth it. The example they used - A ****in' rust-free MERCEDES 300SD &^%& *^$% #*&$ ^%**!!!!! First off I didn't think they qualified, but they showed the guy dismantling some of it, busted out one of the windows and then...then.......they CRUSHED IT, complete with zoom up on the "turbodiesel" badge. Oh goodness that was painful.

Here is a link (first few minutes of program):

I think the webmaster is holding counseling sessions in the Featured Cars forum.

Didn't we originally determine that 300Ds and 300SDs didn't qualify for CFC based on fuel economy figures?

Cash for clunkers was NEVER a good idea. MANY good replacement engines were turned into junk. What a total waste!

Thats what I thought too, but looks like at least one nice one slipped past.
