male to male question...not what you think
i bought some tools and in the box there was a male-to-male cigarette light adapter. i can't think of what this would be used for?? you plug it in and you end up with a male plug on the other end, but what does it plug into from there...i'm sure there is a simple answer, but i'm not aware of what accepts this male plug....except another lighter!

I have seen similar devices used to charge another car's battery. Not sure if they work.

Also used to keep computer/radio/clock memory alive during a battery change.
I suppose if you had long enough time to wait you could recharge a car battery. Let's see, at 10 amps, 12 volts minus the resistance of the longer wire and you need a minimum of 300 cranking amps at 11.0 volts to turn over the starter........ Yup! About 1.5 tanks of fuel in the charging car should just about do it! |

Same here, you can use it to slowly recharge the jump pack while driving, or to keep power on the car's accessories while the battery is disconnected.
