Ebay has it's share of problems, no doubt about it.

Craigslist is a backwater of sub-humans, never share your real name or address with those freaks....

Normally, If I don't need something anymore, I just give it to someone who will appreciate it. If it is worth real money, it finds it's new owner through word of mouth.

You should probably drop the buy it now option. I never used that back when I was using feebay.
I've had good luck with CL. It does require you to use your brain and some judgment, so it's not for everyone.

What's the nature of the fraud?

Did eBay contact you to tell you that they think the buyer ID is fraudulent?

There is the option of Buy it Now - immediate payment required. No payment at time of sale, purchase is automatically voided.

I'd rather throw something away than put it on Craigslist, after trying to sell my sisters old worthless car for awhile and dealt with all the bums calling and never showing up my dad and I said screw it, and junked it.

I'll never buy or sell anything on that website, talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

Bought an antique 32 yr. old Honda 4-cyl. M/C on fleabay, and turned it for a $1K profit after riding it for a year on CL.

Neighbor gave me a bicycle rack for the rear receiver hitch - sold it on CL for $50 da#n near instantly.


You cannot beat the price to advertise on CL - it just depends on how you handle the callers - sellers.
