I gave this a whirl and downloaded a couple of files for 2007 Pro, that look like a file split in 2. I can't figure out how they go back together or how to try the install, do you know how this works? The extensions are .001 and .002

MS Office 2007 Enterprise or Blue will work fine and the download file includes the software key. I have used this to make jobsite laptops that sometimes get trashed/stolen so I don;t want to waste $$ on real MS Office purchase. It works and does not report to momma MS that its a hacked version.

DL and burn it to a CD and then back up all your MS Word/Excel, etc files to CD and then install on the new drive..

Of course the other way would be to buy another HDD and install it and use Drive Pro or the like to mirror the old drive to the new. It may not transfer every program so DL as above and prep for the worst.

Win Rar

Install and click on the .001 file and it will reform into one file.

Tried it but it does nothing. The program help file mentions a split archive but not how to do anything with it.

IDE to SATA has nothing to do with it. If he has an ide or sata, it's replaced with same. All he's talking about doing is installing a new drive on an existing machine. The cloning program will adjust to the size and the existing drivers will work just fine.
