You mean the bit about the video being BS and taking little snippets out of context? The ONLY way a person can REALLY understand a bill is to read it. If one has not, one can not really make any educated comments.

And no, I am not defending the bill. Just sick of all the "factual" e-mails sent out and "factual" videos that only need the word "TRUTH" in capital letters and everyone takes it at face value.

Sounds about right. Most large bills are never read. They are read by staff that brings up critical talking points. I think THAT is BS. Every bill, no matter how large or important, should be read cover to cover.

Reading is one thing, comprehending what is being said is totally different.

Unless your well versed in legalese, most congress persons (much less the general public) wouldn't be able to make intelligent judgements. That's the reason why they have staffs that interpret the language and simplify the decision making process for them.

No different than any other chief executive who relies on his subordinates to do the dirty work.

And if it's not...

Considering the time and effort put into production, you'd think they'd run a spell/grammar check. Or at least have some other eyes checking it.

Do you have any idea how long they are? What a waste of a leaders time, that's what their staff is for.

That's what executive summaries are for.
