With the "Setup" currently in effect in the U.S.
(Corporations may corrupt legislators, Legally)

America is well on the way to an English Lord's (Or Republican's)Dream State:
No Middle Class.
The Poor are Virtually/Really enslaved.
The Rich and Super Rich control all.

How long will this economic model function?

So, "people" are "good", while "corporations" are "evil". Is that what you believe?
Corporations are generally made up of people, and, as pointed out so many times on this fori, are treated as people according to the Supreme Court. What does that do to your good vs evil construct?

You may remember that a little over a century ago the USA was an agrarian society with very little private ownership of cars. One man, principally, with a vision, changed that. Against stock holders, and "common sense" he preferred to make many cars on a small profit per unit basis, while almost everyone else was intent on building a few, very expensive, cars for the wealthy. Because of his single-minded persistence, he put America, and the world, on wheels, and profited greatly in the process. The supposedly "evil" corporation made a lot of money by meeting a real need of tens of millions of people. ( Apologies to RE Olds who shared a similar vision, but who was over-shadowed by Mr. Ford.)
The same story repeats itself with Steve Jobs, and his garage computer.

SOME corporations, like SOME people, are evil. Please don't damn all corporations because of the actions of a few. You wouldn't want to condemn all "people" because of the actions of a few manics, would you?

1a. Show me a Corporate Entity that would EVER put the good of humanity OVER it's own Corporate Profits.

So is your complaint against the good the Ford did to call him a crazed, racist bigot? You didn't really refute his positive contributions at all.
I doubt you know all that much about Mr Ford. It's easy to call him a bigot, but he was a far more complex man than that. He employed Jews in high offices, and was shocked at the charges of bigotry. The "Jews" he spoke out against were primarily New York Bankers, who only happened to be Jewish.
He also employed blacks and physically handicapped people in greater numbers than most of his contemporaries.
He was politically ignorant, and really remained a "simple farmer" all his life.

I agree, it's crazy to compare Ford to Hitler. Ford did many great things. He worked closely with many Presidents from Wilson to Truman to make working conditions for the average person better. Especially during the great depression.
If at any time he was perceived as treating his employees unfairly it has to be remembered that was the way things were at the time.

Corporations are slips of paper, and a corporation's ultimate responsibility is to it's financial statement. Human welfare be damned. Large corporations are doing more and more with fewer people, and they are infiltrating the decision making process in Washington. Does that set the stage for our children's future?
