GMAIL Problems?

Anybody have any problems with GMail? I have a Gmail account and this morning when I tired loggin in it was locked. Said they'd detected "suspicious activity" and I had to do the usual account verification thing. Enter my phone number and the actviation code would be sent etc. Well I did that, code was sent witiin seconds but entering it didn't work. Message says code is incorrect. It's not I double checked. Any one else with similar issues?

- Peter.

Nothing. Which really pisses me off. I had a hotmail account for about eight years with no problem, across two continents!. Then one day bam, drowining in spam. I couldn't get it resolved so I jumped ship to G-mail which has been fine for a couple of years till now. Sucks.

No problems here at all. I would check for spamware, etc. If it hijacked your account it may be sending out bulk e-mails. That is usually what gets it shut down. Been through that with a business. E-mails can not have more than 100 recipients. And no more than 500 can be sent per day. If either of those two are exceeded, bam! Keep in mind that with millions of accounts its all automated.

Yeah, I wondered about that. Turns out that at least in some respects the jokes on me. I had entered the wrong code in my re-activiation. It's before noon, and I'm *not* a morning person. Looks like I'm back in again. We'll see what transpires.

Well that should fix it - I have both hotmail and google accounts and I must say I find the google one more reliable.

Most computer problems can be attributed to the unit between the keyboard and chair.
