Unhappy Got in a fender bender

Well I was leaving for work and got in my 91 w124 and was about to leave when, oops I forgot my jacket in the house, so I turn her off go and get it and come back outside, start her up and back out of the driveway. I looked back didn't see anyone and about halfway out I look again and I see a car in my mirror and knew it was too late. Felt the bump and herd the crunch of plastic.

This sucks, and it was with my neighbor across the street, who I've really yet to meet. The damage on my car is below and her car had a dent the size of the palm of your hand with a scuff mark. Mine didn't look that bad considering all I need is a new light which is easy, but the dent will probably need a little more work, and it pushed the medal in slightly so the trunk takes effort to open now

I want to say it was 50-50 on who was at fault, we both backed into each other, but when she called for some more info she commented as "the persons car you backed into" so I'm hoping it won't be back and forth..

Sorry to hear about this. I hate this sort of small trivial stuff that can really ruin your day.
But look on the bright side. it's not really that bad. It can be fixed and noone was hurt.

Take care

Danny

That's definitely a bummer. But at least there was no bodily harm.

My mother and an across the street neighbor (their driveway is directly across from my parents') have backed into each other 3 times over the last 30 or so years. The neighbors have been different each time but I think each family that has lived there has had a low-impact meeting with my mother. Fortunately the meetings were back in the days of big, heavy, shiny chrome bumpers so it was little more than embarrassment.

dannym- Yeah it was such a bummer, it did put a damper on my day, but things are picking up!

The CLK Man- The grand ol'state of Texas! haha...Bama

Swampyankee- That made me feel a tad better, Made me wish my 300E had those huge ugly Euro bumpers that everyone hates, cause nothing in a 10 foot radius could hit my car with those things!
