Thoughts on a Flip Camera?
anyone use them, how do you think they are?

Well, I'm only casually familiar with camera's. If this is a digital camera I have found that what's important to me with a digital camera is to have an easy way to download the pictures. I prefer a memory card in the camera that plugs directly into the computer. This technology changes with different generations of computers and cameras so make sure you have compatibility between the two.

My daughter has a flip HD, it seems to give good results for the price; better than a iPhone, not as good a my nikon DSLR in video mode. I've only used it a couple of times.

I borrowed a friend's Flip Cam to use on a trip. It has a surprisingly good picture and it's easy to use as well. I'll try to find some video I shot to post here.

I picked up 2 (one was on sale over 50% off) I'm pleased with the video i've taken. I've made my self Dizzy watching a spinning video i took. It'll be good enough I think for what I need it for. Lets hope they hold up to being around steam trains...
