I don not think so.

It may appear that way since I am advocating for one side over the other. But certainly, each aggressor victimizes the other and so on. Both are guilty parties.

They make that choice, but the issue is like "the chicken or the egg". There is no source for whatever contention exists. It happens once, and it gets 'stuck' in every subsequent thread, lingering like a dead animal in the wall.

For any given site, I suggest that the icons of that site retain a certain level of respect, regardless of their personal views. Any one person without equal influence on that site should be more inclined to 'bow out' of a confrontation with these icons rather than dismember them publicly.

As many have stated, if you don't like, don't read it.

Ok enough.

Larry requested that his membership be removed and per his request it was. It was suggested that he simply stay out of the open forum; but he did not like this suggestion so he left.

Lately Larry has gone on a bit of a rampage on OD, as everyone has noticed. The moderators of this forum gave him as much slack as possible because of his immense contributions to the technical forums. However in the end despite our efforts he simply could not handle it and decided to leave. Hopefully at some point he returns to participate in the technical discussions once again.

I would like to state for the record that this forum was running very smoothly before Larry's recent activity. His departure was not the result of the forum itself, it was the result of his inability to handle the discourse he initiated.
