Well, a half eaten ham sandwich could have told us that.
My area has a good amount of illegals. It's FL.. if you're not working a "normal" job you're picking citrus or other crops. Guess what group does that? Illegals ... If you want to be here.. do it legally. Apply for a workers visa, citizenship and pay your share. Pisses me off when I go to the ER and you have insurance and you have to wait with your sick mom while some illegal gets free care. It pisses you off. My high school had 3/4 of the students on reduced or free lunch. I drive in fear around here because of illegals with no insurance. I carry UIM coverage because of that! I am very very much against illegals being given a free ticket. It took my step dad 10 years to get his citizenship the legal way. Lots of money, visits from those INS people, forms, distrust of the government. |

LOL, I love this name:
Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). Apparently this guy writes for the "New American." This is from their web site, it should tell you everything you need to know: The New American: The Essential News Source The New American, a biweekly magazine, is the essential news source for freedom-loving Americans. Our editorial point of view is guided by our support of the U.S. Constitution and the principles upon which our Constitution is based. Specifically, we want to restore and retain the values and vision that made America great — limited government under the Constitution, the freedoms our Constitution guarantees, and the personal responsibility a free people must exercise to stay free. In the area of foreign policy, our editorial point of view is based on avoiding foreign entanglements and going to war only when necessary to defend our country and citizens. Our purpose is encapsulated by the slogan appearing on the cover of The New American “That freedom shall not perish.” As you can see, unlike myriad news organs that deceptively slant the news while claiming to be "objective," The New American forthrightly acknowledges an editorial point of view. But, that aside, we always approach the news honestly, relying on facts and reason to make our case and allowing the chips to fall where they may. |

Errors and misinformation begin in the second paragraph. The Federal free and reduced price lunch program is available to all students whose families qualify and actually provides monies TO schools for each kid who qualifies. Breakfast and lunch programs are not factored into school districts' budgets. It's a load of hogwash.
It sure smacks of desperation when it's found necessary to use specious arguments to further one's position. Given the above, I don't believe I'll read the rest.

How much do illegal aliens contribute in the way of taxes and, as far as I know, uncollectable FICA payments?

IIRC the UIM policy costs very little in Fla.

So the error/misinformation was that, not every dollar of funding for the program comes from the school districts local funding pocket but that funding for qualified students and parents comes from the "other" US federal taxpayer's pocket, but the total cost is correct 55000 x 2 x $2 x 180 = $39.600, 000 and every cent of it comes from some tax payer somewhere? Or is the error/misinformation that in this particular school district, that for every child illegal immigrant and for each child of an illegal immigrant that would be removed from the taxpayer funded school, the taxpayers of the US would see a $4 per child reduction in the cost of the free breakfast and lunch program at said school? Was it misinformation that that every dollar of the cost of illegal immigration comes from the pocket of some taxpayer somewhere? |

exactly.. I'm thinking about upping it. However, I'm afraid of insurance screwing me over if something were to happen to me.

I thought Florida had no-fault insurance as the state standard?
I could have sworn that was the situation when I lived there, but that was more than a decade ago now. |

It's not pure no fault... Regardless, someone hits me and its their fault they will not be able to afford a free trip to the morgue.
