Thank you Hattie!

I am glad you are sticking around!

I do not envy anybody who tries to moderate a forum.

Your service was much appreciated!

I've known Hatty for two years and find him to be a very mature Man for his age.

Chris, thanks for a superlative job on here, very very well, your tone and dedication, imo, was as good as it could ever get, for a Moderator..

Hope you'll stick around, I especially love learning about WWII axis history, and shooting weapons too, on here, you know a whole lot.

lmk if you'd like a hardbound copy of "Eagle in Flames" it's about the Luftwaffe 1940-1944 with basically German sources, unusual because most of the records were destroyed by 1945

Holy crap he was a moderator!

Just kidding but on a more serious note a lot of behind the scenes modding probably happens every day that goes unappreciated. Even though OD can be chaotic at times i've always found it a pleasant place to post and discuss various things. It's actually a fairly good place to find unique and intersting sources of news.

Yeah that took a few years to hammer into place and even then....

Next time there is an opportunity lunch is on me and Swampy (Assuming we can get him to show up )

Sorry guys PM box is now empty. I really appreciate the kind words, being a mod is just about the most thankless job their is. Also thanks to those of you over the years who have sent me nice messages saying the same thing, they were appreciated!

Well things have been changing for me, when I started as mod of this forum it was nuts and I had a lot of time on my hands. Now I don't, and I don't really think I can properly mod a forum as active as this one when I'm in the field away from the internet most of the day.

Quite honestly the reason I stayed around for so long was because of Brian. He ran the day to day show and I just stepped in when I had to, or someone came to me directly. It was a good system while it lasted. Now that he is gone I would have had to take a more active role in the moderation of this forum like I did in the past, possible by myself for awhile. I simply don't have the time or energy to do this anymore.

I'm not going anywhere and if their is an opening in a quite forum I would be more than willing to help out again.

I was surprised when I came back here a week or so ago to see you were still a Mod. You put in a long sentence, time you got off with good behavior

As per the one episode of "Futurama", when the god/galaxy tells Bender "If you do your job as a god right, they wonder if you even exist at all".

By that measure, you must have done an excellent job - didn't even realize you WERE a moderator.

Thanks Hattie!

You have been an excellent mod. I especially appreciated your respectful post when Larry left.

Best wishes!

Be sure to stick around.

I see this as very good news!

It will give you more time to just comment. I cannot think of a single post of yours that I did not find interesting in one way or another.

And thanks for doing a thankless job.

Wait a minute... Is that the right way to say that?
