Back in the early 70s I worked the late shift at a small taco joint in Seattle, before Taco Bell took off. It was a charming scene, food sort of gringo-fied Mexican. One guy used to come and bother me now and then. He'd get $h!tfaced on wine while he was doing mass coke. Very unpleasant drunk. Of course that's a step further than fourLoko but somehow it seems in the ballpark.
There's another similar brand - the stuff looks neon orange - tastes like Red Bull with a strong beer undertaste. I had one sip. That was enough. We are truly a culture in decline.

Due to all the hoopla, I bought a can.
Yuck. I can see the attraction in that there's no mixing for the lazy that like a sweet alcoholic drink with a punch. Being a cheap bastard as well, I finished the can, had a buzz, but yuck. I'd much rather spend the money on a high end single bottle of good german beer, which would give me the same buzz without the cheap kool-aid and cheap alcohol taste.
