Coming up with a year 1273, but that's some odd Arabic year, I think it might be AD 1856??
The number is 10 and the denomination is Rial. I THINK.

Found it. 1990's Iranian, 10 Rials, not worth much, mostly aluminum.

means the inscription is Persian

I wonder if Iran would use Arabic on its coins, currency, or an other symbol.

Because they are muslim, they would be reading, praying in Arabic since the Quran is not supposed to be translated, I believe.
