Where in the article did it say that GE was reaping unfair benefits?

I'm sure most of their money flows back to Fairfield, Conn. Just like Daimler has facilities all over but most of the money flows back to Stuttgart where the big-wigs are. Nothing wrong with that, just saying. Its better to have the workers AND the coveted lifestyle - not just the workers.

I would assume that most of their money goes to the stockholders, wherever they may happen to live. I do understand what you meant, I was just point out that the term "american company" has become almost meaningless.

Where do you see pragmatism?
Very well said! You are most articulate & tuned into reality.

More importantly you are too intelligent to accept the mainstream media propaganda.

I don't understand it.

Obama is not even remotely a liberal. His agenda and that of the rest of the democrats is staunchly moderate compared to what liberal/socialism truly means.

On top of that, the democrats and the republicans are all about expanding "government" powers. They both have done a fairly great job at eliminating personal rights, increasing the size of government (mostly military and police spending). The health care budget was a drop in the bucket compared to where the rest of the cash was going.

Neither party has any of our interests in mind regardless of where you fall onto the political sphere. Issues that affect us the most are continuously being skirted away for other less important sound bite issues.
