Boxster = chick car, no guts
SLK same thing, even less of a sports car.
Have driven both. No Boxster will take a 911 unless 911 driver is stuck in 1st gear.

Wow you mean Porsche doesn't allow their 50K car to be as fast as their 80K flagship car? Thanks for that comparo

A new Boxster S has 300+ horsepower. Which is plenty of go.

The Boxster is made for people who can't really afford a 911. You can rationalize it all you want, I'm sure there are some fantastic Boxster's out there, but at the end of the day its a starter Porsche.

There is a good reason Boxster's are $50k and 911's are $100k and up.

Its like SLK's, while good convertibles, NFW is one comparable to an SL, SLS, or SLR. Its a starter MB like the C class.

I think they are fine cars. I never said they were comparable to Carreras. They aren't meant to be nor are they marketed as such. Apples and oranges. One is rear engined and the other is mid engine.
