Odd thing about when I was in the service. Snipers were always looked down upon as the lowest of the low. Sneaky little buggers who never gave a person a chance. We never invited them to drink with us and we ate with them begrudgingly. Never wanted to piss them off but we never wanted to be over friendly with them either.

Seems ironic to me now, considering the fact I was in an artillery unit and we specialized in dropping huge shells on the other guys from a few miles away.

I takes a certain individual to be a sniper, sneaky, yes, that's a good thing.

At times they see their targets face, making it almost a personal thing.

12-1400 meters

Proves what I'm always telling the wife and kid when we're shooting. It's not about caliber, it's about placement.

Nice shooting! Accuracy International makes one hell of a rifle, I might have to pick one up.

I believe the longest confirmed sniper kill is also held with an Accuracy International by a Brit.

I'd buy one in .338 Lapua Magnum just because that's one heck of a round, or maybe .300 Win mag.

No where, out of state.

The longest range in CT is 200 yards which for a rifle like that would be the equivalent of never taking a Ferrari out of 2nd gear.
