For those too young to remember, this 1964 fundraiser by R. Reagan was a classic. In it RRR gives a summary a conservative issues that rings true to this day.
It is chock full of classic Reagan lines.

It is sad that so many critiques feel the way you do. I will admit I felt that way when he first ventured into politics. Even at 15 years old, I was suspicious of "an actor" having anything worthwhile to say. Yet, that speech began to change my mind about RRR.
I still carry a prejudice against "entertainers" who think they have something to say in any realm outside of politics/ entertainment.
