Is it okay to say "WTF is your problem?"

As in "What the F*uck is your problem?"

In a post?

I'm not the complainer/ tattle tale type but thought this topic would make a good discussion.

Here's the example which came up recently:

Sounds like normal potty-mouth web behavior to me. Not much you can do about it.

You may be SOL . . . but it could be a SNAFU . . . but since we're thinkin' out loud . . .

Ditto... now get the f&*k off my yacht. (not you LGB... but everyone else) It's great I live in NY for half the year- when I tell people STFU they think I'm making an executive decision. I especially like driving slow and pissing off New York drivers. I tell them it's a Florida state mandate to piss them off.

sound familiar?

Your point being?

An apples and oranges quote taken out of context meant to demean the OP. The original question quote is directed at a person meant as a personal insult- which the quote above was/is not. You argue for a living- you ought to get better at it.

In these matters, I always look to Sarah Palin for guidance:
Quote:
Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin said Wednesday night that President Barack Obama’s call for “winning the future” during his State of the Union address is best framed by the acronym it shares with a much different phrase — “wtf.”

“That was a tough speech to sit through and try to stomach,” Palin said during an interview with Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren.

“His theme last night was wtf, winning the future,” she continued. “I thought, okay, that acronym - spot on. There were a lot of wtf moments throughout that speech.”

Palin, seemingly pleased with her joke, repeated the line later in the interview while poking Obama for referencing Sputnik in another section of his address.

“That was another wtf moment,” she said...

In other words, no, it's probably not such a good idea to say "WTF" in this sort of forum, but I have been guilty of worse. Personally, I would not want the moderators spending their time or energy policing that sort of thing.

Why so? If you say as a whole in a sticky- saying "wtf is your problem" is unacceptable- do you think that would take a huge amount of time from the mods duties? How many times do you think this happens here?

I don't think they should post a sticky about "wtf" unless they intend to take action against those who go against the sticky. The moderators have better uses for their time, IMHO.

If any member or moderator puts the search term "WTF" into vBulletin's "Search this Forum" feature . . . well, you'll see the number of posts, approximately 500 total and over 200 just in the last year, in the OD forum alone. That would seemingly answer the OP's question, if that was truly what the OP was interested in.

As for who launches "personal attacks" - which are violations of the OD rules, I'll leave it up to a review of the OP's own posts and infraction record to "speak for itself."

More lawyer slime type of "attack the person not refute the subject" while not addressing the subject at hand at all.
