Guys why do we fight about politics?
I do not like Obama. I did not like Bush. I am quite liberal by European standards. I don't affiliate myself with either major party.
Both political parties, tea parties, and any body that claims to be a member of the two party system do not look out for our interests. Why do we bicker about pointless social political circuses? There are so many things that effect us daily and we end up arguing about the most pointless things. We are being marginalized by big BIG BIG financial interests that are looking out for their own well being and because of recent SCOTUS rulings and bills that have been passed by congress this trend continues. The news right now claims we have won the war on terror by killing Osama. That is not even closely correct! Am I the only one that is frightened by this?

Because you are right and everybody else is wrong.
And vice-versa. And everything in-between. Hope that clears it up. |

WTF else are we going to fight about?

Who's claiming the WOT is won? I haven't heard that, but if anyone's saying it, he's a fool.

That's exactly what I am saying. I heard it on CNN from some lame talking head, hence why I can't watch the news anymore. Too many stupid people commenting on things that are way beyond their journalism degrees.

I hope no one is claiming anything more than a symbolic victory. The message should be that the US will hunt down terrorists for as long as it takes.

Agreed. Surely no one (of significance) is dumb enough to claim any more than that. It's a major development, though. Good on the folks who have been working for years now to make it happen.

Because no one wants to fight about what really matters.
Paper or plastic?

Quote:
I've said for many years that partisan politics is destroying this country. These people who claim to represent us, and who claim they care about us really have only one interest; keeping their party, and by extension themselves in power... by any means possible. You're damn right, I'm scared. In fact I'm more afraid of what's happening right here under our noses than I'm supposed to be of the terrorists. |
