IMHO, that Morgan had to resort to such violent rhetoric is a symptom of something I've known about him for years: He is not funny. I have never understood why such an unfunny person keeps getting great jobs in show business. It reminds me of the battle between Howard Stern and the Greaseman in the early 1980s when they were competing morning drive DJs on Washington, DC, radio stations. Both were outrageous. The difference was that Stern is also funny. Greaseman had a few hilarious bits, but could not come close to matching Stern's wit. To compensate, Greaseman substituted outrageousness for humor. He made a bunch of money, but it didn't last. Tracy Morgan, I think, is just another version of Greaseman.

Morgan is a racist homophobe who, for some reason, gets cut lots of slack for his unfunny antics...go figure. BTW, I can't imagine how anybody finds Howard Stern funny. The stuff he goes on and on about might be funny if one is an eighth grader, but somehow I don't think that is his audience...

I quit listening to him a few years ago, but he has made me laugh harder and more often than any other radio person. It just got to the point where enough was a enough. It's a rare comedian who can stay funny over the long haul. That is what puts Bill Cosby pretty much in a class by himself. He was funny for decades. It's quite an accomplishment. He might still be funny, although I haven't heard anything from him in a few years.

Saw him last year. He now performs on stage in a big chair, but he still has the ability to get the audience rolling on the floor laughing. Memorable bits were "Turkey Bacon" . . . "Worlds Best Stuffing" . . "GPS" . . ."Why You Sleep On That Side of the Bed"

Daniel Tosh pulls this kind of cheap ***** all the time, and I'll admit to finding it painfully funny. He never takes any heat for it, maybe because he is equal in his treatment of gays, heteros, white trash, rednecks and minority groups, or maybe it's because he's on cable and nobody's watching.

Maybe he gets away with it because he is funny (although I haven't seen him, so I can't say). Morgan, IMHO, is just not funny.

This is not the first time Morgan has done this. I believe he has some pent-up issues with homosexuality in general. And no, he's not at all funny. Someone posted that he was the male version of Kathy Griffin. Griffin makes me laugh and she loves us gays.
