The USPS has come up with a list of 3,700 Post Offices they say they need to close. I found a link to a list at the abcnews.com site but I am too ignorant in interwebie stuff to post the link here. It is not hard to find though, so maybe someone can find it and post it.

I read over the list for Oklahoma and I must say that I knew where a lot of them were. I was also shocked to see that they had a Post Office at all. About 99% of the ones being closed in Oklahoma are in towns that were once oil boom towns but the oil ran out in the 50's and the towns have been shutting down ever since.

In other words: I didn't see a single PO listed that looked like it needed to be open since almost no one lives in the area.

Now.... Can anyone think of a good use for an old Post Office building?
