Each stuff has it's own limit. So under the limit makes you a user, jail. Over the limit and you are a dealer and therefore you will be invited to a "necktie party". At least that was the way it was when I was there.

The conclusion that I'll draw is that I likely don't want to be stuck in the US for a good few years. I agree with you that once you travel outside the borders of the U.S...it opens up your peripheral vision-especially in terms of all this 'war' on terror that the U.S. government and corporate media has hyped it to be-in order to sell the fear ticket..and therefore justify spending billions $of tax-payer cash on unessacary projects that do nothing more than build up their military apparatus.
In order to live abroad there are many things to consider..such as..'What is the primary language'?..My sister just moved to France..And thats what they speak...French.
How tight is your resume?...it better be impressive to live/work over-seas.
Can you adjust to the coulture?

Speak English, French, Polish, Czech, and Russian with varying degrees of ability. No problem adjusting to foreign cultures -- enjoy the challenge, and ****, I'm already surrounded by 50% foreigners in NYC.

As to work, I'd probably start a small business or shop same as in the US. As an EU national with some level of money, shouldn't have much trouble getting permission to do so in any of the Schengen states. Not a problem in Poland, and France has actually liberalized some of their regulations as well.

Have no desire for a 9-5 job -- too independent minded and generally anti authority. Probably would end up kicking crap out of the boss after a month.
