re: Maple seed drone.
VERY cool toy.
Do they say how it might be used? With everything spinning, how does it provide a stable platform of photos or anything else?
It certainly is a creative approach.

If you watch the youtube video it has pretty amazing capabilities and it looks cheap.

It seems more of a delivery device than an aerial video platform.

Does it look to be scalable, or does making it larger create other problems?

MS

To answer that I'd have to have the differential equations that describe the flight mechanics, go through a straight-forward but somewhat laborious process that no one wants to hear about and then have a quantitative response.

However, as you know, one develops an intuition in their discipline and my sense is it can't be scaled much.

It can take a small load to a precise location, sit down, wait and come back.

But it'd be fun to play with like a kid.

That's pretty funny.

The VOID

At that period of time, I defineately saw them as being 'other'.

They talked funny, the women wore strange clothing, the men seemingly kept the colone industry afloat, and when I frequented their party stores-they never put prices on anything.

I discovered the reason why there were no prices, is because in their homelands..haggeling-bartering, was all part of making a purchase/sale.
In fact, an Arab will not respect you if you do not question the price/try to barter with him.

Although flight mechanics is not my field, I suspected the same. I remember learning about the physics of scaling using the 50's Sci Fi mutant ants, or spiders or dinosaurs or whatever. Those skeletons could not be scaled to the proportions in those cult films. But they were great entertainment.

I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan-which at that time was ran/operated by one of the most viscious out-rite rascist in political history.
Name of 'Orville Hubbard'.

It is interesting the Elijah Muhammed started 'The Nation of Islam' in Detroit, in 1929, of which Malcom X was a famous graduate.

No, I am not a Black American.

I awoke almost laughing with the notion of your, "... into the void' reverberating within.

Rest assured that post will make an appearance on future thread.

Don't know the name/man.

MLK said the racism of some of the northern industrial cities was much worse than anything he experienced in the south.

There were some leaders that exploited and exacerbated those divisions to further their means.

I grew up near Chicago in the same time period.

Sure hope no offense has been taken by my question.

Did you assume I was black?
The reason I ask is from you asking me my position on Blacks shunning Christianity, on account of being made into slaves by the europeans.

Also, from your comment that my response of saying caucasion, instead of white..was 'archaic'.

For the record. The Nation of Islam, was predominately militant. Malcom X disconnected himself from that branch, after he travelled to Mecca, and discovered that his mentor Elihja Muhammad was not teaching Islam properly.

He was assasinated for his decision.

* Of note> buzz-word for militant black Islamists when referring to whites is 'European'..not caucasion.

Yep. I thought you were black and made a deliberate conscious choice to become a Muslim. So I asked about your thought process.

Wasn't trying to find the find any agenda.

Trying to read what is before me and comprehend.

If I called a black a negroid I'd be fired and possibly assaulted.

So your use of caucasian was hard for me to grasp.

Not bothersome, at all, just unusual.

My family, both sides, are from Michigan so I have some familiarity of the state.

All is well Brother. Your questions do not disturb me..."how else are you going to know, if you dont ask questions".
Some of the caucasion thing in my speach may be due to my current location on this earth.
Asians do not refer to white ppl as 'white', they refer to us as 'western..or caucasion'.

You are aware that the largest portion of the Muslim population are not from the M.E.-but from Asia/S.E. Asia?

wow id like to talk about the maple leaf, should we start another thread about the maple leaf drone?

this will be mixed in to a lot of religous discussion but maybe it will get some on track answers.

I would think this drone as a video platform would have been impossible just a few years ago, but with fast memory and processors the image could be stabilized pretty easily.

the purpose for this is for recon. think about carrying a couple of these in a back pack, you get ambushed and dont know your enemies strength and position. you boomerang this baby into the air and get instant recon data. pretty awesome.

This is a multi-task-into the void thread.

If you are ambushed..how will you get this proposed unit out of your back-pack?
