What are these tools for?!

I picked up two interesting tools for free from a lady when I bought my metal band saw - these were sitting in the 'trash' bin to be thrown away, so I took 'em but don't know what they are:

Mystery tool 1:

Mystery tool 2:

Can I use any of them on my Benz?!

First 2 pics are valve spring compressors. Third pic looks like a piston ring groove cleaner.

The valve spring compressor looks like one for an old inline flathead straight four six or eight. This task was commonly done with the engine in the chassis, since the valves were in the block instead of the head as is now the case.

Can I use any of them on my Benz?! If not... I'll probably sell them on CL or eBay - are they worth anything? Guessing they are pretty common tools, right?

The only Benz they fit is the M136 engine and they quit making that in 1954.

They are overall pretty common for all the pre-war cars, many tractors and small engines.
5-10 bucks apiece and you have some extra money for burgers
