evolution of social insects
Can anyone recommend literature for non-scientists on the evolution of social insects like ants and bees? Were there ever just male ants and female ants? Is it telling that I feel like a drone at work?
Thanks, Sixto 87 300D |

I heard an interview with an Ant guy on NPR the other day who just wrote a book about them. Very very interesting. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the book. I imagine if you look at NPR website you can find it.
