Us sinners are now left behind to suffer.

So this is what hell looks like, eh? Could be worse, I still have my Mercedes. :)

Sorry, here in the US we still have freedom of speech, So even nut jobs can say what they want. Doesn't mean you, or anyone, has to listen to what he says.
I'm still here, too, and plan to be here, until death, or Final Judgment. No rapture in my theology.

I guess its a good thing I didn't max out the credit cards at the strip club...

Well, there's still December 21, 2012 to look forward to. I'm planning to pile my cats into my 300TD. We'll all be safe there!

Happy Motoring

This is the most rational thing I've read all day.

Won't save you from the natural disasters or the fireball. Try again

Although this is Camping’s second failed prediction this year, a source familiar with the preacher said he has predicted the end of the world 12 times. His first prediction of the end of times apparently dates back to 1978.
But this is even more irrational. He is wrong so often and yet people have faith in him. He should pick up what religions are showing. Be vague and make wild promises. He became specific and could be picked apart.

There's quite a difference in believing that it will happen versus thinking that you know WHEN it will happen. No one currently on Earth knows WHEN it will happen. Lot's of people THINK they know.

Here in Houston, the Rapture was a definite dud. Believers were only raised an average of about six feet, and several elderly women from the Second Baptist Church were injured when they unexpectedly dropped back to Earth. The Singing Angelic Choir were the victim of bad reviews, as the Arch Angel Gabriel was decidedly off key, which he later blamed on his over-rehearsing for the other Raptures that were attempted earlier this year. When asked why believers were not propelled into the heavens, Gabe said that "Jesus's mojo was off."

Well, I was sort of speaking tongue-in-cheek, kind of like all this 'end of the world' prediction nonsense.

On a related note, I first stumbled on Camping's latest predictions last year while resetting the stations on my car radio. The program ended with his dire forcast of tribulations and global fireball, immediately followed by a commercial pushing "Colgate tooth products, for your childs lifetime of dental health".
I thought "What 'lifetime of dental health'? The world's ending next year! You might as well forget toothpaste and let your kids have all the soft-drinks and candy they want".

Happy Motoring, Mark

So giving me all your possessions is not possible?

Correct. But there's a very rusty vintage Audi in my side-yard you can have.

so: you, larry, think there will be a rapture, and you will be taken off to the heavenly place? will you still be posting here on the forum, after the big event?
