It concerns me slot if it turns out to be true. Do you have any evidence?

Thats a grand idea ,put someone who worked for the Federal Reserve in the White House ,this is the opened door that the new deregulation banking system has brought to us and all the problems steming from the that change .If he states change in the banking industry and wall street I would listen.

I already gave you evidence in the form of Cain's interview with O'Donnell. The evidence is that Cain stretched the truth about why he didn't participate in the civil rights demonstrations. It doesn't establish him as a liar, nor does it exonerate him. All it does is raise legitimate questions about Cain's integrity. According to O'Donnell, Cain's book discusses his reasons for "sitting on the sidelines" (O'Donnell's words) during the civil rights movement. Cain's reasons, and you can hear them for yourself in the O'Donnell video starting at about 7:20, don't make much sense. Then he lectured O'Donnell, saying that O'Donnell didn't know Cain's situation at the time. Cain suggested that maybe he stayed out of the civil rights demonstrations because he had a sick relative. Maybe that's true. Maybe he made it up to deflect the question without having to actually lie about that fact. I don't know, and O'Donnell doesn't know, those particular facts, but so far, Cain's explanation is weak, at best.

You obviously have not listened to what he has said about the Fed. He is not happy with what is going on at the Fed. He wants to get rid of Bernanke and change the Feds involvement.

Sorry, but this is VERY lame. He chose to sit out the marches because he was smart enough to stay focused and take advantage of his educational opportunity. Not everyone has a reactionay, activist spirit.

That interview was a ridiculous ambush. I would REALLY like to have seen a hard ball interview of BO during the last election cycle, then you could have REALLY seen some wiggling. How could he possibly defend his illegal drug use had he been hit on it?

AGAIN, you show me evidence of real lying on the part of Cain and I will be backing away from him very quickly. So far I haven't seen it. All I've seen is the normal liberal attacks of someone based on the fact that they don't agree with his opinions and ideals.

Then why did he say stayed out of the civil rights movement because he was in high school? And why did he bring up the notion that maybe he had a sick relative?

Cain's book and his comments speak for themselves. I don't see what O'Donnell's motives or my own have to do with whether Cain is a liar.

As for heavy lifting, I don't think there is much more to be said, unless some other interviewer picks up the ball and runs with it. Cain certainly has invited the media to do that with his cryptic responses and defensive tone.

why didnt ANY candidate that was of sufficient age be asked this question regarding the civil rights movement? why only ask the BLACK guy? discrimination still runs through the Democrat mind....another one jumped from the plantation, round him up with the dogs boys. In this case the useful idiots in the media are the ones reigning in the escaped slave.

Civil rights concerned everyone in the 60s: Where is the same question for any other candidate? Who gets to choose who gets grilled by the self-righteous? Time to expose the real racists in this country......

Tex makes a great point. I was born only 4 years after Herman. This should give all you Larry haters more to pile onto me about. I didn't make it to any of those protests and I am CERTAINLY no racist.

Come on, pile on, I'm used to it.

No matter how "sorry" someone may feel for me, it is NOTHING compared to how sad I feel for the numerous decadent souls on this forum. Not everyone on this forum suffers from a decayed mind, but there are MANY. America has turned into a sewer, and there is a strong representation of that here.

Which begs the question why you'd sully yourself. Missionary zeal perhaps? Remember Groucho's words: "I wouldn't belong to any club that would have Me as a member."

Because it was the black guy who wrote a book making factually questionable claims about what he did or didn't do in the civil rights era. You see it as racism for O'Donnell to ask this candidate to explain questionable statements in his book?

You're the one injecting race into this discussion.

Did you write a book? Are you running for office? If not, then why would anyone ask you about it?

horse *****, it was inferred, why else would that pig of a woman, ask the question? Simply to establish that "he is not black enough", "an uncle tom", a coward. Same sort of lynching attempt the left made on Clarence Thomas. Dems can't stand to see blacks succeed w/o their party's control. tacit and overt racism is what it is......
