I love how Bush gets the blame when it was congress and senate that approved most of the garbage we are living with today...including the extreme debt.

I believe most of that garbage passed fairly easy with little argument from the dems...

Thank you for pointing out that everything is somebody else's fault. I appreciate the great effort Obama has put forth not to have any responsibility for anything.

I don't think it's just the matter of a recession or a double-dip recession. The pattern that lead to these problems has been building over about 30 yrs. The gap between the richest segment of the US population and the poorest segment has been growing by leaps and bounds. That's been possible because our elected officials over that period of time have been restructuring the rules to benefit the wealthy at the expense of the middle and lower classes. The measures of success in the economy are measures which show how the wealthy are doing and not how the average joe is doing. Hence people can say we are out of a recession while unemployment rates are still very high. Without a change in the rules that govern the system which produced such great disparity between the poor and the rich, I think the economic and social health of the lower 2/3rds or so of the US population will not improve immensely in the near future.
