I DO think that staying home is the best way to go, but as long as people PEACEFULLY protest without damaging ANY property or doing things like keeping shop owners get into their places of business, then that's fine.

I'm not sure why I choose to subject myself to the constant abuse for every disciplinary action I make. Other moderators just give an automatic 3 points at the hint of criticism.

No, I'm from Kansas, so I must be an ignorant conservative who can't see past his own bias and only goes after progressives unjustly while ignoring blatant violations from fellow conservatives. Never mind that I'm a registered Democrat, (social liberal and fiscal conservative), have never voted for a republican candidate (mostly third party or independents) and had recently banned 2 very troublesome conservative forum members. It only matters how I've conducted myself towards one person that proves a pattern of behavior to them. Also nevermind that I consulted the other 2 OD moderators before acting and they agreed with my decision.

Then they go on a misinformation hissy fit and pretend to be banned and oppressed, encouraging forum members to keep up the good ol' progressive fight. Its hilarious.

You are absolutely correct. Many forum members take their lumps and move on. Some anger and frustration is understandable, but some have to conduct themselves like...

Skid Row Joe, who I was pretty friendly with. That was not easy, but he was a constant disruption.

I gave local2ed an official warning not to post any new political threads since it was degenerating OD and always the catalyst for some left versus right brawl. Unfortunately I have to read through all that verbal diarrhea. He seems to be ignoring my warning. Before I could discuss with other moderators what to do regarding it, we had this BS to deal with.

I'm tired of being the bad guy in everybody's eyes.
