Tyler- you are not the bad guy in EVERYONES eyes- just a few crybabies who are very vocal about it. And I say that despite having received an infraction from you! I hope you aren't planning on quitting your position as Moderator because that would mean that the crybabies win. I certainly couldn't fault you for that decision though, as I am sure it gets old dealing with these types. FWIW in the years that I have been a forum member the current team of Moderators is by far the most fair and diplomatic in my opinion. Keep up the good work- Scott

Just to be clear it was my DAD that moved around alot. My Grandpa built a house on the Blanco River and ranched there for about 60 years.

The rest of the blather in the post is totally irrelavent to the conversation. People have protested all over this country for a long time. So what?

100 years ago a man, his wife and kids worked 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for mere subsistence. The need for unions AT THAT TIME was quite justified. NOW, however their goal is not to change the above situation, rather it is to work toward getting their members living standards FAR ABOVE those of the comparable non union people.

You are absolutely correct. Many forum members take their lumps and move on. Some anger and frustration is understandable, but some have to conduct themselves like...

Anyone who thinks that Tyler is a conservative has not read many of his posts. That's not to say that he goes on an on about politics because he doesn't and I don't remember him EVER doing that.

The times in the past when he stated political opinions he did it with great Class. That's probably why he was invited to be a moderator.

I doubt that Tyler and I could agree on very many political issues, but I expect that he an I at dinner could agree to disagree agreeably. He is a fair moderator and does the thankless job with great dignity.

Thank you Tyler for your work and willingness to put on the Kevlar. Without you and your co workers we wouldn't have a forum.

I agree with you. The posting of an intentionally controversial title and a bare link is NOT discussion. This forum is called "Open Discussion". Its better when we all actually discuss rather than post "talking points".

I actually appreciate reading what liberals and progressives actually think. I disagree with it, but its good to see how people who view things differently come to their POV. I think some of our views must be hard-wired in our genetic make-up, or else caught from parents at a very early age. It simply amazes me that several of us can see exactly the same situation, and draw such dramatically divergent conclusions. It may indicative of a split in the American people that is too great to ever resolve.
We may split into 2 or more countries at some point. We no longer seem to share a common history, culture, or sense of purpose. Without those, what binds us together as a nation? We may well ask, " Can such a nation long survive?"

You just have to face it the far right on here don't like their talking points picked apart and proven to be nothing but rehashed fox news propaganda and therefore act like children when they have no facts to back them up.

I understand you want the threads to be only something your interested in,ie, "I bought something" or pictures of your travels but not everybody wants to read that.

Nobody ever promised it was going to be all pictures of puppy's.

Your failure to identify the usual trouble makers is whats making your job so difficult, I told you that before. It's not hard to see who turns the threads into a pi$$ing match if you would READ them.

You often make this accusation, but then fail to engage in rebutting anything. Its as if the accusation, alone, is sufficient to discredit everything you don't like. One could similarly say that all your posts and links are simply progressive talking points, but that also fails to move the discussion/debate anywhere.

Hey, I just had a novel idea. Why don't YOU read the political threads started recently that were NOT STARTED BY ME and maybe YOU could figure out the common problem before you start acussing anybody. This is the third time know I've challenged you read the threads yet you still want to blame me for people YOU FAIL TO CONTROL.

By the way, I would have responded by PM, but you chose to ignore them so I can only reply to your acusations here.
